How to draw Horses ✍

This tutorial has been designed to draw a horse in a simple way intended for beginners and children with very easy steps.

These are some facts about the horse that may be of interest to you.

    • Horses can sleep both standing up and lying down.

There are more than 300 breeds of horses in the world.

    • Depending on the breed, management and environment, the domestic horse today has a life expectancy of 25 to 30 years.
    • Horses have a skeleton that has an average of 205 bones.

Horses perceive contact as subtle as an insect landing on any part of the body.

How to draw horses step by step

We have chosen a simple horse drawing for that can be easily done by children and beginners with paper and pencil.

Draw the face and muzzle of the horse.


      1. Draw the chin, neck, and upper chest of the horse.
        1. Draw the upper part of the horse’s neck and back until you reach the area where we will make the tail later on.


Add the front part of the foreleg, then draw the part of behind the horse’s hind leg.


        1. Adding two lines, one for each leg of the horse, we will create the upper part of the legs. We will also draw the horse’s ear.


        1. We will completely draw the two legs of the horse, with its hooves, and we will add the belly joining the ends of the legs with a slightly curved line.


We will draw two more legs as we see in the image, to have the 4 legs of the horse.


          • To finish, we will draw the horse’s eyes, its nostrils, the fur on its head and tail
